Celebration of Mass
The public celebration of Mass remains suspended. Masses will be celebrated at Whitehouse and can be viewed on the webcam. Mass times are posted on the Loughshore parishes Facebook page and website and on the Down and Connor Diocesan Website.
Opening of Churches
Churches will continue to remain open for private personal prayer only, all other public devotional practices, likely to attract a gathering of people are suspended.
‘Stay at home’ – Respiratory team’s plea to NI public
The respiratory team at the Belfast Health Trust has issued an impassioned plea to the public to socially distance to help save thousands of lives.
Doctors, nurses and physiotherapists sacrificed some rare time off on Sunday to film a hard-hitting video that highlights the potentially catastrophic effect of coronavirus on families across Northern Ireland.

Aware of growing public anxiety, out of particular concern for the more vulnerable members of our community and to avoid any confusion, we are updating our directives with effect from Wednesday 18 March 2020
All members of our parishes, clergy and diocesan employees should adhere to the public health advice, which includes:
- good hand and respiratory hygiene
- Self-isolation if you are unwell
- travel advice
